Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. This fun sport combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong, is played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. Six indoor courts will be set up at the Tappan Gym Pavilion for Intermediate and Advanced players. Note: No Beginner court or instruction offered. Come out and play; bring your own paddle/ball or use one of ours! Age 21 & up.

Two indoor courts will be set up at the Brookline Senior Center and instructors will be on-site to offer advice to new athletes. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn - but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Come learn to play; bring your own paddle or use one of ours! Ages 55 & up.

Mount Auburn Cemetery - November 14, 2019
You might be interested in learning more about the cemetery’s long history, the notable people buried there and the different monuments and buildings. It is true that Mt. Auburn is first and foremost a cemetery, but it is also a National Historic Landmark, a botanical garden, an outdoor museum of art and architecture, and an important habitat for urban wildlife. Following the guided tour, we will stop for lunch at the Deluxe Town Diner at your own cost. Trip includes transportation and tour of Mt. Auburn Cemetery.

Spread the Warmth - November 14, 2019
Active Older Adults will be teaming up with the Brookline Recreation After School Program (children ages 5-10) to help make blankets for people in need. Supplies and transportation at the Eliot Rec Center will be provided. Help us spread the warmth this giving season.
