register for the Green Dog Program.
The Green Dog Program is an optional recreation program and requires a fee to participate. All dogs must be wearing a current green dog tag to take advantage of off-leash privileges. Green Dog Program fees cover the calendar year. Green dog tags will expire at the end of December each year and must be renewed for the following year.

All dogs must be registered for the program to participate, including dogs being taken off-leash by dog walkers.

Closure Information
We have a green dog hotline, which you can call 24 hours a day to find out if fields are closed due to wet conditions or for other reasons. The green dog hotline is 617-879-4850.
You can also check the
calendar for updated field closure information due to inclement weather or scheduled / permitted use by other groups.
How to Report Violations
The Brookline Police Department / Animal Control is responsible for enforcement of town by-laws and park regulations regarding dogs. To report violations, call 617-730-2222.
