Program Goals

  • To provide swimmers with the opportunity to develop their swimming and social skills within the context of a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • To build upon the swimmers' knowledge of the four competitive strokes, and help them develop and improve these strokes to the best of their ability.
  • To deliver a youth athletic program that encourages good sportsmanship and teamwork, in order to instill a positive attitude and strong self-esteem in all our participants.
  • To have FUN!

(Returning Dolphins that qualified AND attended B or A Championships, do not need to try out).

New swimmers looking to join the Dolphins must try out for the team. Tryouts for the season will be announced as soon as we are able to.

Dolphins in Training

The Dolphins in Training program runs concurrent to the competitive season.  There are no meets, no volunteering or minimum attendance requirements. Practices are typically run by our competitive team coaches and we only ask that your swimmer be at least an advanced American Red Cross Level 4 (if under 8) or Level 4 (if 9 and up), or equivalent, to participate. This group is for any swimmer that is not quite ready for the competitive team yet or who is not interested in competing, or the level of commitment required.
